Eagle Eyes
One of the more difficult things to do when photographing wildlife is to convey a sense of emotion both from the subject and the viewer at the same time. It’s all in the eyes! What are your thoughts, when you see this image? How does it make you feel?
Great shot Martin! This looks like a 4 year old male. It’s nictitating eye lid was flicking back when you shot this.I always call those shots “The Evil Eye”.
Iām hoping to get more shots as I go along – hopefully some Golden Eagles too.
Goldie’s will be further into the Rockies.Good luck Martin!
Thanks! I saw one once up by Telegraph Cove.
must of been lost?
Maybe!
a friend (Adrian Dorst) who is recognized as a leading ornithologist for the west coast had this to say……..

Hi Wayne,
They do occur on Vancouver Island but are rare. A bit more often in the mountains.”
No doubt you saw a Goldie but it was most certainly away from it’s normal habitat Martin.
Wow, very cool. I count myself as lucky then! šš
yes, they may be drawn to you?
