“Loose hips, save ships.” A quote from Frank Witter, expert Sea Kayak Guide and Owner / Operator at Hello Nature Adventure Tours – hellonature.ca Frank of course was referring to remaining flexible and not becoming tense when encountering unfavorable conditions while sea kayaking. Expert advice, no doubt. On July 18th, I had the distinct honor and privilege to be invited by Kevin Bradshaw from Hello Nature Adventure Tours to spend the day with… Read More

…a throwback to 2011 when I first visited “The Great Bear Rainforest.” My love and support always to “The Gitga’at Nation” and any efforts that help to protect your territory. We beat Enbridge and Northern Gateway and we will protect the rest of the coast too!

There’s a current opportunity to provide feedback regarding British Columbia’s spill regulations. The government is soliciting public input as it relates to this overall process in regards to B.C.’s coastal environment. I encourage all of my followers that have values similar to mine to take the time to complete the survey and provide comments. It didn’t take me any longer than 10 minutes to complete. I also encourage all of you to… Read More

A few months back, I mentioned how I was collaborating with documentary filmmaker Paul Novy from Iceberg Films – icebergfilms.com about a documentary film to showcase the relationships between nature and photography. We got started on that but there’s been a change of plans. For now, we’ve decided to shelve that effort. We will re visit it, in the future maybe. Due to the excitement and immediate feedback surrounding “Lord of the Forest” we… Read More

Grizzly Bears in particular haven’t had many friends over the last couple of hundred years. Thankfully, on December 18th the BC NDP Government became one and ended this atrocious trophy hunting fiasco once and for all. I do not necessarily support any one given political party but I certainly do support this legislation and I applaud those elected to office for making a humane decision. This is certainly cause to celebrate this… Read More
