Orca have no natural predators. They’ll hunt Great White Sharks and are capable of systematically taking down a Blue Whale, the largest animal that has ever lived on our planet! A lone Sea Lion is certainly no match!  I observed this first hand in a once in a lifetime experience on September 24th, close to Lewis Channel, northeast of Campbell River. Calls came in over the VHF radio to our guide, Nick… Read More

…the recent footage surrounding “Vancouver Island Hunter stalked by Cougar” has raised a lot of questions and in some cases controversy. Rightfully so! As many of you know, I am fascinated by this animal, hence the documentary film that I am currently working on. Credible sources however suggest that the individual that captured this footage baited and taunted the animal and then disguised the footage for dramatic purposes. This is not something… Read More

Please watch, like and share! Again, I’m honored to continue to support Sadie Parr and the work being done by Wolf Awareness Inc. My friend and Filmmaker Paul Novy from Iceberg Films did an exceptional job capturing the presentation on January 27th.

This is absurd! It would be hard to believe that there’s much in the way of objective thought during any decision making process. “After repeatedly denying the existence of such documents, the B.C. government has finally complied with a freedom-of-information request revealing a strong hunting culture within the conservation officer service.” Read more here: vancouversun.com/…/b-c-releases-documents-revealing-hunting-culture-among-conservation-officers

Grizzly Bears in particular haven’t had many friends over the last couple of hundred years. Thankfully, on December 18th the BC NDP Government became one and ended this atrocious trophy hunting fiasco once and for all. I do not necessarily support any one given political party but I certainly do support this legislation and I applaud those elected to office for making a humane decision. This is certainly cause to celebrate this… Read More

The only word that I have is despicable. This Bear and so many others have been lost for no reason, certainly a tragedy and as much as we would like, we can’t bring them back. What we can do is continue to petition against the Bear hunt and not allow people such as this imbecile to continue to commit these crimes.

I guess you know where at least I stand on this issue. Thank you to Canadian Wildlife Photographer John E. Marriott for raising awareness on this important issue in British Columbia. Have a look at John’s website and view this short documentary:

The true value is painfully obvious!
