I will start with a bit of a preemptive spiel. Normally I am very excited to share the specific locations that I paddle to, visit and explore in hopes that others can do the same or may be inspired to do so. I will neglect to do so this time. To some, it may be obvious as to where I was and it may not be difficult for others to ascertain, I’m… Read More
…a throwback to 2011 when I first visited “The Great Bear Rainforest.” My love and support always to “The Gitga’at Nation” and any efforts that help to protect your territory. We beat Enbridge and Northern Gateway and we will protect the rest of the coast too!
Please watch, like and share! Again, I’m honored to continue to support Sadie Parr and the work being done by Wolf Awareness Inc. My friend and Filmmaker Paul Novy from Iceberg Films did an exceptional job capturing the presentation on January 27th.
Yesterday was my first time visiting this park. I always tended to avoid it due to the fish ladder potentially disrupting image composition. I was pleasantly surprised by the location. This park protects 151 acres of second-growth forest located on the north side of the Puntledge River. The river is one of the main attractions of the park along with Nymph Falls. The river and falls rage over series of exposed bedrock… Read More

Capturing a sense of emotion with wildlife photography.
Grizzly Bears in particular haven’t had many friends over the last couple of hundred years. Thankfully, on December 18th the BC NDP Government became one and ended this atrocious trophy hunting fiasco once and for all. I do not necessarily support any one given political party but I certainly do support this legislation and I applaud those elected to office for making a humane decision. This is certainly cause to celebrate this… Read More
Each year as a part of my annual calendar distribution, I solicit donations on behalf of a conservation based – non profit organization. This year I have partnered with Surfrider Vancouver Island. They do amazing work and I’m happy to be a part of their efforts. Find out more about what they do here: vancouverisland.surfrider.org
Today I participated in the group flotilla from Swy-a-lana Lagoon to Newcastle Island in Nanaimo as a part of the BC Marine Trails and the Salish Sea Marine Trail Grand Opening! #SSMTGO Prior to stepping foot on Newcastle Island, about 150 paddlers were provided a ceremonious prayer and song as a part of the welcoming by the Snuneymuxw First Nation. More traditional song, dance and dress was provided before opening remarks were made… Read More
